Kiwi Information - ( By Mele'ana )

Introduction

The kiwi type is native to New Zealand and is only found in New Zealand. ( Unless you take them far away to another country.) A kiwi is flightless and they are also endangered species.

Habitat

Kiwis are most found right outside the New Zealand,
Wellington city. Brown Kiwis are found in forested
areas in the North Island, Fiordland, South Westland
and Stewart Island. Kiwi's are Commonly found in
New Zealand. Kiwi's lives hunt and breed on the
ground.

Abilities

Commonly found in New Zealand forests, the Kiwi lives, hunts and breads on the ground. Although they are native to NZ, they live around Wellington, Fiordland, North land and Stewart Islands. They are endangered species. The treats from predators are dogs, cats, rats, stoats and human hunters have left only million Kiwis in NZ.

I just wanna thank you for teaching me Badminton. I'm starting to be good at it. It's a really fun sport to play. I also wanna thank you for teaching me how to serve and teaching me how to hold the racket. It was really fun versing the others.

Learning Intention-W.A.L.T-write a shape poem.
Success Criteria-I know I am successful when I can write a shape poem about volcanoes using adjectives.

                                               I
                                         looked at
                                      a big volcano
                                   that looked strong
                               like a windy,swirly,huge
                             tornado. Molted lava every
                           night it's giving me a massive
                          fright. When a volcano starts to 
                        rumble it also gives a big grumble.
                     Hot rocks came down with a big tumble.

Hello! My name is Mele'ana. My birthday is on September 2008. I grew up in Auckland, Panmure. I have 2 brothers . My favourite colour is blue. I love maths and reading. My favourite food and drink is raspberry and Burger king. 

I really like playing netball, gymnastics and being a goalie in soccer. I like reading Ronald Dahl books because they are interesting. I don't like reading owl diary's because they have baby words, I rather read chapters. I really don't like beans, they make me vomit. I don't like playing tag because when I run I trip. 

My friends are Augustine, Yesha, Asinate, Tyrah, Giselle, Ellma, Lolenese, Paul and Lupe.

Harm the Rat -By Mele'ana

Success Criteria-I know I am successful when I can use capital letters, full stops, correct spelling and in paragraph form.

Along time ago, back in the 1900's, in America there lived a rat named Harm. She was grey, white, very small, fat and has anger issues. 

One day she walked through the field and found lots of chocolate bars stacked  up in a tree. Just as she went through  the hole of the tree, a strange old rat stopped her and said " These are my chocolate bars, get lost ". Harm tried to convince the strange, old rat to share.

Finally he agreed and said" I'll share 2  bars, but don't come back ever again ". Harm answered " OK ". The strange, old rat gave her 2 chocolate bars and  Harm went back home, quietly and safely.

Pistol the killer whale-By Mele'ana

Pistol the killer whale

Pistol the killer whale was big, black, very mean and scary.

One day he swam straight into the Pacific Ocean and was captured by fishermen. Everyone in his family cried because they thought that he was dead. It was a horrible night looking in the light of Pistol's funeral.

Pistol's little sister felt some strange wave. She knew her big brother was still in the Ocean. She looked and looked and found Pistol still stuck in the net. She bite the sticky, large, strong net with her teeth and made a big hole for Pistol to escape.

Pistol and his little sister went to the big black and white undersea cave and started to celebrate because Pistol was still alive.
